Assessment and reduction of factory impacts

Eco Class Factory is a series of gatherings focused on technologies and solutions that contribute to the development of high-performance and decarbonized factories. This event takes place in various cities accross France throughout the year.

During the edition on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Lyon, Yves Gérand, Director of Mission and Head of Green Chemistry at EVEA, led a conference titled: 'Assessing and reducing the impacts of factories from a product lifecycle perspective: what methods and tools?'

Yves emphasized the significance of decision-support tools, such as those that integrate and consolidate approaches like greenhouse gas emissions inventory (GHG) at the scale of a factory or organization, or life cycle assessment (LCA) at the scale of a product or product portfolio.

These tools can also be deployed within the framework of the implementation of the CSRD (Corporate Social Responsability Directive), which will gradually extend to all European companies by 2027.
