ADEME and its partners released the AGRIBALYSE V3 database in early June 2020.
The result of several years of work, it provides the environmental impacts of 2500 food products (using the same classification system as the nutritional data in the Ciqual table of Anses, https://ciqual.anses.fr/), complementing environmental data on agricultural production that has been available for nearly a decade. This publication marks a turning point in the environmental assessment and eco-design of food products by facilitating comprehensive evaluations of product ranges or providing pre-existing "macro" assessments for your products. All that's left is to make some adjustments to meet your specificities and initiate a progress initiative.
ADEME initially made its dataset available in an expert format (in SimaPro and OpenLCA software). A more accessible publication of the results will follow in the fall! Until then, feel free to contact EVEA to understand, exploit, and integrate these new data!
