Morning

  • Overview of the models used: the GTAP model, worker hours, and rating methodologies
  • Introduction to the SHDB within SimaPro: data structure, sectors, countries, indicators, and related parameters.
  • Overview of the different levels of result interpretation

 

Afternoon

  • Hands-on application
  • Analysing and interpreting results using SHDB rating methods
  • Exploring additional SHDB functions
  • Editing SHDB unit data
  • Incorporating social information beyond SHDB risk data
  • Adjusting a calculation method
  • Wrap-up and next steps in the S-LCA process

Any professional required to read, interpret, or conduct a social life cycle assessment — including product managers and those responsible for LCA projects, R&D, environmental management, human rights, or responsible sourcing. 

Prerequisites

  • A working knowledge of LCA methodology
  • Familiarity with the SimaPro interface


  • At the start and end of the training: knowledge validation test
  • During the training: ongoing assessment of learning progress through case studies, quizzes, practical exercises, and similar activities
  • Individual certificate of completion awarded upon conclusion of the training
