An organisational LCA with NTPT

At EVEA, we had the pleasure of supporting North Thin Ply Technology (NTPT) in an innovative and ambitious endeavour: conducting their organisational life cycle assessment (O-LCA). NTPT is a Swiss company specialising in bespoke composite solutions.

Why is O-LCA essential?

Unlike the traditional greenhouse gas emissions inventory (GHG assessment), O-LCA takes a holistic and multi-criteria approach.

This method allows organisations to:

• Identify strategic environmental impacts across the entire value chain
• Avoid pollution shifts between different life cycle stages
• Provide a decision-support tool to guide impactful and sustainable reduction actions.

As part of this project, we also interpreted the results through the lens of planetary boundaries, enabling NTPT to work towards sustainable pathways required to safeguard life on Earth. This vital work will continue for NTPT in 2025.
